Grant Enables Jacksonville to Assess Historic Building Use
The city of Jacksonville has received a $5,000 grant from the Ford Family Foundation of Roseburg to look at uses for the historic 1883 courthouse building and the work needed to accommodate those uses.

The city will match the grant with an additional $6,000 in funds and in kind work.

Jacksonville took possession of four historic sites in November and has formed a building management team. In addition to the courthouse the team will manage the Beekman House, the Beekman Bank, and St. Joseph’s Catholic Rectory.
