Josephine County Emergency Management wants citizens to be prepared
Josephine County Emergency Management wants citizens to be prepared for departure from their homes in the areas of Quartz Creek due to the Brimstone Fire and Grave Creek and Wolf Creek due to the Douglas Complex of Fires.
Jessica Schwarz with emergency management says citizens who have a wildfire burning within one mile of their home should plan on vacating the residence. She says cars should be packed with valuables, irreplaceable items and necessities such as medications and clothing. Neighbors should try to coordinate for the evacuation and assist others with the transport of animals.
Access to Hog Creek and Quartz Creek has also been cordoned off and only local residents are allowed into those areas.
