Unemployment Trend Positive Gaining 1% over the Year
The Josephine County unemployment rate raw numbers show there are 419 fewer unemployed in July of this year compared to July of 2012, one full percentage point.
Total payrolls employment in the county fell from June to July by 600 jobs, however that is a typical seasonal reduction with education accounting for most of that drop.
As expected leisure and hospitality posted the largest gain, up 140 jobs with construction adding 40 jobs over the month while manufacturing added another 30 in July.
