Harris Beach Gets Clean Bill of Heath
A public health advisory against contact with water at Harris Beach, a popular southern Oregon destination on the coast in Curry County, has been lifted.
The advisory was issued July 24th after water samples showed higher than normal levels of fecal bacteria in the ocean waters.
Samples have shown the water no longer poses a higher than normal risk. Official do recommend staying out of large pools and runoff water frequented by birds, saying that may be the source of the increased bacteria in the water.
