Commissioners support production of voters’ pamphlet
The Josephine County Commissioners during the Wednesday business session voted unanimously to reallocate $5,200 that was to be used to place a flyer in the November ballot and that money will now be used in conjunction with money from the City of Grants Pass to produce voters’ pamphlets at the cost of $10,600.
The Grants Pass City Council offered to pay $5,400 previously for their portion of the ballot that involves the Public Safety Levy renewal.
The commissioners said the money previously offered by former Commissioner Sandi Cassanelli and the citizen’s group she represents would be returned.
A release from the Josephine County Clerk’s Office indicates Sept. 9 at 4:00 p.m. is the last opportunity for citizens to supply the Clerk’s Office with a supportive or opposing argument for any of the four property ordinance referendum measures or for the Public Safety levy.
Forms and instructions are available at the County Clerk’s Office or at the Clerk’s webpage.
