$3,500 in Reward Money Offered in Medford Arson Cases
Medford Police and Fire are investigating a series of arson fires set in vacant homes in the West Medford area since January 12th of this year. 14 structures have been set on fire, all determined to be arson.
The most recent was Monday at 400 South Peach Street. Firefighters arrived to find an unattached garage fully engulfed. The fire was extinguished but substantial damage was sustained. The home was vacant and did not have power. Investigators say the fire was started inside the garage.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is offering a reward of $2,500 for information that leads to an arrest in this case. Additionally Crime Stoppers will pay a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
