Jackson County Delays Decision on Nonpartisan Commissioners
Jackson County Commissioners put off a decision on whether to ask voters if a commissionerís position should be nonpartisan.

The Board was scheduled to vote Wednesday on whether to send the question to the May 2014 ballot, but removed it from the agenda to be considered at a later date.

As originally proposed, the measure would amend the countyís charter to make commissioner positions nonpartisan starting with the May 2016 primary.
