Court arraigns Gold Hill murder suspect
The Gold Hill resident who allegedly shot and killed his girlfriend was arraigned Monday in Jackson County Circuit Court on a plethora of charges.
41-year-old Robert Joseph Simonson is accused of firing a single shot that killed his girlfriend, 52-year-old Kimberly Ann Staack, while they were at a friendís residence in the 1500 block of Rogue River Highway around 6:30 a.m. Friday.
Simonson pled not guilty to a list of charges including murder which could result in a 25 year prison sentence.
Authorities have not released any details concerning what led up to the deadly incident.
