Deputies Nabbed Motorcyclist for Impaired Riding after Weekend Stop in CJ
The Josephine County Sheriff's Office arrested a motorcyclist for impaired riding following a weekend traffic stop in Cave Junction.
According to the Sheriff's Office, deputies pulled over a Honda motorcycle for speeding near the intersection of Caves Highway and South Old Stage Road on Saturday around midnight.
Deputies said the 60-year-old motorcyclist displayed signs of impairment and performed poorly in field sobriety tests. He was taken to the Grants Pass Sobering Center where he provided a breath sample that exceeded the legal driving limit.
The suspect was lodged at the Sobering Center after being cited to appear in court for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants and Reckless Driving. His bike was impounded by Jerry's Towing.
