Starting tomorrow morning, the City of Grants Pass will begin offering low-income residents an opportunity to receive grants to help with weatherization and rehabilitation repairs to their homes.
Grants will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, and there are income qualification limits. The program is only available for owner-occupied stick-built homes. Manufactured homes, mobile homes and rentals are not eligible.
A limited amount of funding is available through the Community Development Block Grant program administered by the US Housing and Urban Development Agency. Applications for the program will become available on Tuesday at 8 a.m..
Paper applications will be available at the Grants Pass Community Development Department, 101 NW A Street, Suite 202. They will also be available to download from the city's website at "grantspassoregon.gov."
