Deputies Arrested Man for Loitering and Refusing to Leave Supermarket in CJ
The Josephine County Sheriff's Office arrested a man for loitering at a downtown Cave Junction supermarket.
According to the Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a trespassing complaint at Shop Smart on West Watkins Street on Saturday around 2:25 p.m..
Deputies said the store manager called 9-1-1 to report that 66-year-old Michael Alan Gendernalik was hanging out at the corner of the business and refusing to leave. The man said he would only leave if it was in the back of a police car.
Upon arrival, deputies contacted Gendernalik and granted his wish. He also had been trespassed from Shop Smart on August 29th.
Gendernalik was transported to the Josephine County Jail where he was booked for 2nd-Degree Criminal Trespass. He was being held without bail.
