One person was injured in a motor vehicle accident near Cave Junction late last week.

The Illinois Valley Fire District and American Medical Response were dispatched to the single-vehicle crash at the intersection of Holland Loop and Hays Cutoff roads on Friday morning.

IVFD officials said a vehicle veered off the road and collided with a wire fence, causing minor damage to the fence and a power pole.

One occupant of the vehicle was transported by ambulance to a local medical facility while the other occupants left the scene in the still-drivable vehicle.

The Josephine County Sheriff's Office was investigating the cause of the wreck.
