The Oregon Department of Transportation is hosting an online open house this month to share information on the Grants Pass-to-Rogue River Multimodal Plan.
An in-person open house was held this week at Rogue River City Hall, but ODOT still wants to hear your thoughts on the plan to identify a continuous trail extending from Grants Pass eastward to the Depot Street Bridge in the City of Rogue River.
ODOT says the trail will provide an alternative to automobile travel between the communities as well as space for recreational opportunities for residents and tourists. This connection will contribute to the larger regional active transportation network of Southern Oregon.
The trail will span a total distance of six miles and will be a part of the Rogue River Greenway after completion. The goal is to have a 40-mile trail between the cities of Grants Pass and Ashland by connecting to the Bear Creek Greenway.
The online open house on the Grants Pass-to-Rogue River Multimodal Plan is open through January 28th.
