GP Police Helped Corrections Officer by Arresting Man on Statewide Warrant
Grants Pass Police assisted Josephine County Community Corrections by arresting a man wanted on a statewide felony warrant late yesterday.
According to the Police Department, officers arrested 32-year-old William Lou O'Malley, III, in the 300-block of NW 5th Street on Thursday around 4:45 p.m..
Police said O'Malley's corrections officer requested assistance in placing their client into custody because he was wanted on an Oregon State warrant for Parole Violation stemming from a previous assault conviction. They arrested him near the Josephine Community Transit hub.
O'Malley was lodged at the Josephine County Jail on a no-bail detainer.
