GP Police Nabbed Motorist for Impaired Driving after Cloverlawn Drive Wreck

Grants Pass Police arrested a motorist for impaired driving after he wrecked his vehicle in the southeast corner of the city.

The Police Department reports officers and emergency crews responded to the single-vehicle crash in the 1900-block of Cloverlawn Drive at 10:15 p.m. Friday.

Police said an investigation indicated 24-year-old Dylan Michael Palmer-Somers was driving a Toyota Camry when he failed to negotiate a sharp turn and struck the curb with his front passenger-side tire. The ball joint failed and disabled the car.

Palmer-Somers reportedly showed signs of impairment at the scene and performed poorly in field sobriety tests, so he was placed into custody.

Palmer-Somers was lodged in jail for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants and Driving While Suspended. His disabled Camry was impounded.
