GP Police Arrested Man for Probation Violation after Fight with New Boyfriend

Grants Pass Police arrested a man for violating terms of his probation last night after he picked a fight with his ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend in the north part of the city.

According to the Police Department, officers were alerted to a disturbance in the 1600-block of NE 6th Street on Thursday at 8:55 p.m..

Police said a woman called 9-1-1 to report that her ex-boyfriend -- 22-year-old Tevon James McCornack -- was fighting with her new boyfriend. McCornack reportedly threw rocks at the man, but no one was hurt. The victim did not wish to press any charges.

Officers contacted McCornack's corrections officer who requested that his client be detained, so he was placed into custody.

McCornack was lodged at the Josephine County Jail for Probation Violation related to a previous arrest for Felony Criminal Mischief. He was being held without bail.
