GP Police Arrested Man on Warrant while Investigating Church Trespass Call

Grants Pass Police arrested a man on a local warrant while investigating a trespassing complaint at a local church next to a city park.

According to the Police Department, officers responded to the call from New Song Christian Fellowship on NE Evelyn Avenue near Kesterson Park on Monday night.

Police said the assistant pastor called 9-1-1 to report several people in the stairwell of the church. The caller said they've had a problem with people camping there -- especially since all city parks were shut down to overnight resting.

One of the people contacted was identified as 31-year-old Mark Jeffrey Mislon who was found to be wanted on a Grants Pass warrant for failing to appear in court for Methamphetamine Possession.

Mislon was lodged in jail on the warrant. He and the others were all trespassed from the church property.
