Three Separate Suspects Lodged for Out-of-County Warrants by GP Police

Grants Pass Police lodged three suspects wanted on out-of-county warrants over the weekend.

Saturday at 12:55 p.m., an officer observed and recognized Christopher Lokken walking westbound on NW A Street near City Hall. His information was run through dispatch and he was found to be wanted on a valid and serviceable out of the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.

Lokken had been charged with a Burning Offense, and following confirmation of the warrant, he was taken into custody. Law enforcement transported him to the Josephine County Jail for lodging.

That same day at 6:54 p.m., a man was reported to dispatch after he ran out of Fred Meyer attempting to steal about $50 worth of merchandise. He continued towards the nearby Abby's Pizza parking lot, and staff requested to pursue theft and trespass charges.

Officers contacted the suspect, identified as Michael Kachmer, and found he was wanted on three warrants: two out of the Douglas County Sheriff's Office for Second Degree Criminal Trespass and Failure to Appear, and a Medford Police Department warrant for Third Degree Theft.

Kachmer was subsequently lodged in jail on his warrants and an additional charge of Third Degree Theft.

Officers then responded Sunday morning around 1:35 a.m. when Travis Ramsey reportedly called 911 accidentally. He confirmed his location in the 700 block of SW 5th Street and told dispatch he called 911 while he was sleeping.

Upon arrival, law enforcement contacted Ramsey, finding him to be wanted on an active and serviceable warrant out of the Jackson County Sheriff's Office for Second Degree Trespass. He was taken into custody, and transported to the Josephine County Adult Jail Facility where he was lodged.
