Deputies Detain 3, Arrest 1 after Investigation of Homeless Camp
Josephine County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested one after detaining three individuals at a reported homeless camp in the 400 block of Redwood Highway Wednesday morning.
A large homeless camp was reported at that location at 9:29 a.m. Deputies investigated and detained 27-year-old Dustin Herrell at taser point. It was determined Herrell was wanted on a Curry County warrant for driving while suspended-misdemeanor and a Josephine County warrant for a parole violation stemming from a driving under the influence conviction.
Herrell was transported to the Josephine County Jail and incarcerated with bail set at $30,000.
While at the scene Deputies contacted Ryan Engebretson, 47, and Honey Walsh, 40. They were trespassed from the location and were given two days to clean up the campsite.
