Second Friday Poetry Sharing
The second Friday poetry sharing event will be held Friday, December 12th from 7pm to 9pm at the Grants Pass Museum of Art, 229 SW “G” Street (upstairs). Read poetry and/or listen to others. Free to the public. Donations welcome. For more information call 541-479-3290.

Thursday, December 18th

American Legion Christmas Dinner
American Legion Grants Pass Post 28, 206 NW F Street, is having their Christmas Dinner on Thursday, December 18th, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm or until gone. Reservations only and the meal is free to Veterans and their family. Donations welcome. Please RSVP no later than Tuesday, December 16th, by calling (541) 474-6400.

Grants Pass Active Club "Christmas for Kids"
The Grants Pass Active Club’s “Christmas for Kids” program is happening until December 19th. Pick-up an extra turkey while shopping and donate to families in need. The Grants Pass Active Club will combine donated turkeys with a full dinner basket for approximately 60 families in our community! Drop your donated turkey off at the radio station, 888 Rogue River Hwy in Grants Pass, Monday – Friday between 8AM and 3PM. For more information call 541-210-1241.
Nutcracker Ballet
The Nutcracker Ballet is being performed at the Grants Pass Performing Arts Center on Saturday, December 13th at 7pm, Sunday, December 14th at 2pm, Saturday, December 20th at both 2pm and 7pm, and Sunday, December 21st at 2pm. Operation Christmas Child
Operation Christmas Child will begin accepting drop-off box donations November 17th. You can donate your filled boxes from the 17th through the 24th at the Redwood Country Church in Grants Pass, Path Church in Central Point, First Baptist Church in Medford, Trail Christian Fellowship in Eagle Point, and Ashland Christian Fellowship in Ashland. Senior Self Defense Classes
The Rogue River Community Center is teaching Senior Self Defense Classes at the Rogue River Annex, 138 Broadway Street, in Rogue River. They are held Saturdays from 11AM until Noon, and Tuesdays from 7:15PM – 8:15PM. The Instructor, Santa JD Barron, is a 4th degree black belt who will teach you how to defend yourself with a walking cane, plus hand-to-hand combat techniques. Call 541-821-7464 for more information.
Southern Oregon Amateur Radio Club
Southern Oregon Amateur Radio Club meets every 3rd Tuesday of the month at the Fruitdale Grange, 1440 Parkdale Dr. Starts at 6:00pm and is open to the public.
Second Friday Poetry Reading
Grants Pass Museum of Art, 229 SW G Street is hosts their Second Friday Poetry Sharing every second Friday of the month from 7pm to 9pm. These events are free to the public and all are welcome to come read or just listen to poetry. Donations are welcome. Fruitdale Grange Monthly Bunco Group
Fruitdale Grange, 1440 Parkdale Drive, is hosting a monthly Bunco group on the 4th Friday of each month at 5:30pm. Please bring a snack to share. Cost is $10 Per Person and all must be 18 years old to attend. For more info text 541-660-4435.

We have everything you need to do just that. KAJO and KLDR would like to encourage you to be ready; disaster can strike at any time. We have a Handbook for Homeowners titled "Before Wildfire Strikes." We also have information on "Living on Shaky Ground; How to Survive Earthquakes and Tsunamis." We are open Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm and Saturday 8am to noon, at 888 Rogue River Highway in south Grants Pass.
