GP Police Jailed Man for Crimes Related to Domestic Violence after Phone Call
Grants Pass Police jailed a man for several crimes related to domestic violence after he called the police station last weekend.
The Police Department reports the 67-year-old man called GPPD headquarters on Sunday around 9:50 a.m..
Police said the man requested to speak with an officer about an investigation into a recent domestic violence incident that allegedly occurred in the 1100-block of NW B Street. The caller was told to come to the police station to speak with the officer in person. He did and he was immediately placed into custody.
The suspect was lodged at the Josephine County Jail on suspicion of Domestic Strangulation, Domestic Menacing, Harassment and Interfering with Making a Police Report. He was being held without bail.
