Deputies Snared Woman for Weekend Disturbance between GP and Merlin
The Josephine County Sheriff's Office arrested a woman for a violent weekend disturbance between Grants Pass and Merlin.
The Sheriff's Office reports deputies responded to the incident involving 42-year-old Mindy Jacobson near the corner of Lower River Road and Gray Wolf Drive shortly before noon on Saturday.
Deputies said they received a report of a female subject standing in the middle of the road screaming and yelling. The caller said the woman was screaming about rape and dead bodies and walking into traffic. The subject was asked to leave the area, but she refused to do so and the resident called 9-1-1.
Upon arrival, deputies said Jacobson was still screaming and flipping off passing motorists. It was unknown if she had been drinking or doing drugs, but the woman reportedly assaulted a deputy while being placed into custody.
Jacobson was lodged at the Josephine County Jail for Felony Assault on a Peace Officer, Resisting Arrest and Disorderly Conduct. She was being held without bail.
