GP Police Snared Woman on Felony Warrant while Investigating Car Clouting
Grants Pass Police apprehended a woman wanted on a local felony warrant while investigating a reported vehicle break-in near the J Street campground yesterday.
The Police Department reports officers arrested 20-year-old Victoria Reanna Corona at the corner of SE J and Mill streets on Monday shortly after 1 p.m..
Police said a caller reported a female subject wearing a black and white plaid jacket was seen entering her vehicle near Mill Street. Nothing was taken and no video was readily available.
Officers used the clothing description to track down Corona. They stopped and questioned her, discovering that she was wanted on a Josephine County felony warrant for Probation Violation related to a recent arrest for burglary. She tried to flee, but a Taser was displayed. She also resisted being placed into custody, so she was taken to the ground and eventually subdued.
Corona was lodged at the Josephine County Jail on the local warrant and she was being held in lieu of posting $1 million bail.
