OSP Arrested CJ Man for Impaired Driving following Williams Highway Wreck

The Oregon State Police arrested a Cave Junction man for impaired driving after he crashed his vehicle on Williams Highway last night.

OSP reports troopers and emergency crews responded to a single-vehicle wreck near milepost 7 of Williams Highway on Wednesday at 6:15 p.m..

Troopers said a 32-year-old Cave Junction man was driving a Subaru Legacy west when he lost control of the vehicle, slid off the highway and rolled, with the car coming to rest on its side. Fortunately, no one was hurt.

Upon contact with the driver, troopers observed signs of impairment and took him to the Grants Pass Sobering Center where he provided a breath sample that was more than twice the legal driving limit.

The suspect was lodged at the Sobering Center for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants, Reckless Driving and Offensive Littering. His car was impounded.
