Graduation Day for 23 Trooper Recruits; One Headed to G.P.
23 Oregon State Police Trooper Recruits mark the completion of nearly 26 weeks of training today at noon.
O.S.P. Deputy Superintendent Maureen Bedell will recognize the accomplishments of the recruits whose training prepares them for the challenges they will face as Troopers working for the public safety. Five of the 23 are lateral entry hires who previously worked for other law enforcement agencies be joining the State Police.
Two of those new troopers are headed to Southern Oregon with Cory Sweet assigned to the Grants Pass work site. Trooper Sweet has previous enforcement experience. Assigned to the Central Point area command is Trooper Andrea Borraggine.
