Eagle Point Finishes School Employee Contract
The Eagle Point school district as well as the employee union voted 5-0 on a three year contract for teachers and support staff.
On Wednesday the school board voted unanimously on the contract, “From what I am told, it was near unanimous but I don’t have numbers” said Scott Whitman, director of school business services for the district.
Classified employees will receive an 8 percent raise in the three years the contract covers. With 4 percent in 2014-15 and 2 percent for each following year. As well as a 25$ per month increase for each associates health insurance, by the last year of the contract, 2016-17 the district will be contributing up to $1,093 per month for each associates insurance.
