Heat Advsiory remains in effect the day after soaring temperatures
Grants Pass took the high temperature around the state yesterday at 106 degrees and the National Weather Service’s Heat Advisory continues until 10:00 p.m. today with more extreme highs predicted for Grants Pass, Cave Junction, Medford and surrounding areas.

Extended hot temperatures create a situation in which the incidence of heat-related illnesses will likely increase. Tips for staying safe include drinking plenty of fluids, staying in an air-conditioned room, staying out of the sun and checking up on relatives and neighbors.
