Commissioners approve redevelopment and marketing agreement for the Dimmick Tower property
The Josephine County Commissioners during their Weekly Business Session unanimously approved an agreement with Maul Foster & Alongi, Inc., to draft a strategic plan for the redevelopment and marketing of the Dimmick Tower property.
Commissioner Simon Hare says the county wants to have the tower down by the end of the year to make way for future development and it is a reasonable time to begin the planning process. The Dimmick Tower, which is a section of the former Josephine Memorial Hospital, has been in disrepair for years and requires demolition.
The agreement is not to exceed $37,100 and $20,000 of that cost is being paid for through a grant from Business Oregon.
