Violent Medford burglar sent to prison
Judge Lorenzo Mejia sentenced a Medford burglar who attacked a disabled man to 20 months in prison Thursday.
Prosecutors say 21-year-old Michael Brandon Mak broke into a residence in the 500 block of South Grape Street on Aug. 28, 2013, around 11:00 p.m. The homeowner was startled by the appearance of Mak and confronted him, but instead of fleeing, Mak began attacking the homeowner.
Officers located Mak a short time after the burglary and he resisted arrest and spit in an officer’s face during the course of being apprehended.
